Alright. So finally the subject I always avoid and probably need to address at some point or another right?
“The past is strapped to our backs.  We do not have to see it; we can always feel it.”
So the past has a huge part in helping me become the person I am today. Strong, Independent, Self sufficient. With certain things about my past I avoid looking back at them because I don’t like the view. I don’t want to relive certain things that happened because I feel as though they are part of the past for a reason.
A good friend reminded me that no matter what has happened I have to remember that at this point in time, I am okay, nothing is hurting me, and I have a bright future ahead of me. So at some point it might be crucial to deal with things and try to work through them instead of pretending they never happened, but at this point in time I am trying to focus on my future without letting my past affect me too much. Easier said than done, but it’s all about taking things one day at a time and enjoying the beauty in life. :)
